Classy dubs.

I just checked, weird thing is, /pol/ is still active.

Running as if nothings happening.

But /b/, which is usually the fastest board, is at a standstill.

It' spooky.

I think /pol/ killed the other boards, or maybe it was the reptilians.

psh… it works just fine.

if being meant to run on a server was a merit windows server wouldn't suck balls. (windows as a server OS? it shouldn't even be possible)

I like your dubs, but if it were my server, I'd go with Red Hat, or SUSE.
A buddy of mine is running Red Hat on a business site right now, shit is so cash.

Wow, harsh.

Don't knock it 'till you've tried it bro.
( If you've already tried them, disregard that.)

No.7139

>>7138
They're shit because I don't need a full-blown enterprise dist for my small-scale server…

I'd rather have something that I'm used to. And I've been using Gentoo for so long now it's the only dist that feels natural to me (well there are some gentoo-derived and some spinoffs that seem agreeable though. oughta try exherbo sometime)

No.7141

>>7139
That's actually a completely fair argument, I hadn't thought of that.

You win, Gen2 on brother.

For the record, Ubuntu would also fit your needs, but fuck Ubuntu, and Canonical.

No.7143

>>7141
Addendum, Arch is better in almost every way.
Same mind blowing performance, half the work.

No.7146

>>7143
And no USE-flags whatsoever. A package manager that doesn't sign it's packages and not being able to utilize the full instruction set of my processor due to needs of binary compatbility.

yeah… no thanks…

also
>arch
>mind-blowing perfomance
lel
so Arch is the new ricers favorite OS. that used to be Gentoo's role.

(I'm not in Gentoo for the performance. I'm in Gentoo for the USE-flags. Customizability.)

No.7148

>>7146
Don't get me wrong. If I urgently needed a binary-dist up and running my choice would probably be between Arch and Debian. (And the latter is usually outdated as fuck)

>>7146
Well, that's the major draw of gen2.
It's ridiculously versatile.
But for my home usage, I have yet to encounter a distro that even approaches the speed of Arch.

I will concede that the package manager could use a shit ton of work, but I really like Arch otherwise.
There's not a lot that it can't do, and besides, it has the best logo.
