hey lup I was curious how I can keep my bananas fresh without any sort of refrigeration or cooling device. I like to buy my bananas in bulk from farmers (this saves money) but my only problem is keeping them fresh long enough to eat. The last batch I had rotted in less than a week and unfortunately I was not able to consume anymore than about 3 and a quarter third bananas due to dieting among other reasons (apparently bananas are fattening and I had a busy week and was not always able to make it to my banana stash).

I could always sell them but I am afraid of other banana vendors in my area getting violent about it. They are very aggressive about their competition and it can border on gang wars. I fully realize you could easily say “anon, buy less bananas”, but it is not quite that simple. Without buying the bananas in bulk I can not afford to buy enough fruit in quantity throughout the year to satisfy my strict nutritional requirements.

Anyway I am at a loss as to what to do and any help or advice would be appreciated. BTW growing my own bananas would not be an option once again due to aggressive measures local banana vendors take around this area. They are really quite excessively violent and don’t seem to value human life anymore than as a comfaĝity for banana sales.

Thanks in advanced and may the gods be favorable.

preserve them in your butt

Can't you negotiate to get the bulk the appropriate side as to be finished on the fringe of freshness

Strike a deal with a vendor to pay a monthly fee for weekly banana delivery of the amount you see fit.

i wouldn't refrigerate most fruit anyway. it never tastes right once u get it too cold. u have to leave them out until they are ripe and tasty. if they're going bad too fast either buy fewer (even if u get a worse price ur still spending less money) or eat more of them.
